Since I was little I have always felt great satisfaction in writing and trying my best to use good handwriting. To this is added the fact that a few years ago I discovered the pleasure that involves writing in pen with ink, for various reasons, like the ability to control the thickness of the stroke or the sensation of the pen when scratching the paper.
Now I started up learning calligraphy and have chosen the so-called "Copperplate", which is also often called English calligraphy. The main reason is that if you manage to master classical calligraphy will be much easier in the future to reinvent it and create more contemporary versions, but always knowing the technique. For this purpose I am using the book "Mastering Copperplate Calligraphy" by Eleanor Winters as a learning guide.
